I've used this stethoscope for the last year in a pediatric cardiac ICU setting with great success. Nearly everyone else I work with has a Littmann Cardiology (IV or Master), and whenever they borrow my stethoscope, they're always impressed by the quality. Littmanns tend to be really loud, whereas this one is slightly softer but far clearer. It seems that the Littmann Master Cardiology amplifies everything (heart/lung sounds but also ambient noise) while the DLX is slightly softer because it blocks out ambient noise so you can focus on the heart/lungs. I love that this is one of the only cardiology stethoscopes on the market with a dedicated 'non-tunable' pediatric diaphragm.

I also had a wonderful customer service experience with Steeles when I purchased the stethoscope last year. I purchased another scope that didn't work out, and they were great about processing the return. Then I was having some issues with my pediatric diaphragm on this scope, and they were very quick to help me troubleshoot and send me a replacement piece. Steeles is the only place I buy stethoscopes anymore due to their competitive prices and great service. So glad I found this company, and I recommend it to all of my coworkers.
